**Pictures needed for Registration**

You will need to send 5 recent pictures of each horse as such:

1.  Full body showing all four legs separate
2.  Close-up of the facial markings and head
3.  2 Close-ups clearly showing the animal submitted for registration, to have the required additional Appaloosa characteristics, such as, mottle skin, sclera and/or striped hooves.  Such close-up photograph must be taken in such a manner as to allow the subject to be identified as the same animal in all submitted photographs.
4.  One photograph must be taken from the back of the horse with the tail raised up to show possible mottled skin.

Pictures cannot be larger then 3X5", computer printouts must be on photo paper only, no Polaroids please.  Each photo must be labeled and signed with the animal's name, the owner's name (printed and signed) and date taken.

NOTICE:  As of January 1st, 2005 All Appaloosas entering the registry, are required to have a DNA on file with the AApA.  (spayed mares and Geldings are optional) .

Please enclose DNA fee of $40.- (Mbrs); $50.- (non-Mbrs) with your application for registry. After we receive payment we will send a DNA test kit with all needed information to you.
Appaloosas applying for Double Registry need to send DNA case# and waiver for release of DNA of other registry to AApA plus $15.- filing fee for DNA with our Lab.
HARDSHIP NOTIFICATION: Any hardship case presented for registration will be handled on an individual basis. Legal proof of ownership of hardship horse, class a or class B" MUST be provided with application for registry.  (i.e. a bill of sale, transfer of ownership, call us for more info and help. )
